THE WAY OF THE CROSS - 12
Jesus Dies On The Cross
We adore you, O Christ, and we bless you,
because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
Consider how your Jesus after three hours of agony on the
cross, finally overwhelmed with sufferings, lets his body go,
bows his head, and dies.
O my dying Jesus, I tenderly kiss this cross on which you did die for me. I deserve, because of my sins, to die a miserable death. But your death is my hope. Ah, by the merits of your death, give me the grace to die embracing your feet and burning with love of you. Into your hands I commend my soul.
I love you, Jesus, my love, more than I love myself. With all my heart
I am sorry that I have offended you. Never let me be separated from
you again. Grant that I may always love you, and then do with me what
you will. I accept everything that pleases you.
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory be to the Father.
Let me share with you his pain,
Who for all my sins was slain,
Who for me in torments died.
